FOBO TAKES AWAY THE PERSON’S DECISIVENESS HENCE IT AFFECTS THE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES OF AN INDIVIDUAL.

THE POSSIBLE CAUSES OF FOBO ARE :- 

  1. SELF DOUBT : DOUBTING ON OUR OWN DECISION

  2. COMPARISON : COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS.

DUE TO SOCIAL MEDIA POSSIBILITY OF COMPARISON HAS INCREASED MULTIFOLDS.

  1. FEAR OF CRITICISM : FEELS IF HE OPTS FOR SUB-OPTIMAL OPTION AND LATER ON LIVES A SUB-OPTIMAL LIFE, PEOPLE MAY CRITICIZE OR THINK THAT HE IS A FOOL.

  2. LACK OF SKILL : SINCE CHILDHOOD THIS SKILL OF MAKING TIMELY AND WISELY DECISION IS UNDERDEVELOPED.


* HOW DO YOU OVERCOME FOBO ?


  1. TIME FRAME : YOU HAVE TO SET TIME LIMIT TO TAKE A DECISION. WHATEVER DECISION IT MAY BE BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT WITHIN THAT TIME LIMIT ONLY.

  2. DECISIVENESS : DEVELOPING THE SKILL OF BECOMING MORE DECISIVE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN DECIDING A BETTER OR PERFECT OPTION. FOCUS MORE TO DEVELOP THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL TO BE DECISIVE.

  3. DON’T COMPARE : YOU CANNOT COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS BECAUSE EACH INDIVIDUAL AND HIS / HER BACKGROUND IS DIFFERENT.

  4. ACCEPT THE RESULT : EVEN IF YOU TAKE WRONG DECISION; IT IS ‘OK’. YOU HAVE AT LEAST DECIDED. YOU SHOULD ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSEQUENCES ALSO.
