What is a delusion ?


Delusion is fixed form false belief which is not keeping with social beliefs.

Delusion is wrong concept or thought

How are delusions formed ?

Delusions are usually formed out of blue, without any realistic reasons.
The neurotransmitters which increase in certain disorders lead to formation of delusions.
Since they are formed inside patient's brain, patient fails to understand , that these delusions are not in touch with reality.

In which conditions delusions are seen ?


Usually these are unrealistic thoughts which are automatically generated by brain due to certain neurotransmitter imbalance in different psychological conditions like Schizophrenia, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Delusional Disorder, Substance (Drugs& Alcohol) abuse, etc.


What are different types of delusions ?


The usual delusions which are commonly seen are :-

The person starts feeling that someone is persistently following him, watching him through different cameras or satellite methods, people are talking about him, puttingp against him, laughing at him.
